A Huge Taste of Culture

The past two weekends were packed full of music, food and a huge taste of culture throughout the city! Within days of Red Bull tear down, Festival Tent moved in with a large number of tents, tables, chairs and portajohns to setup the annual Carrousel of Nations. Hundreds of people made their way through the different festivals sampling morsels of each culture.

At the Polish Village, children bounced in our Race Car Inflatable, while their parents enjoyed some perogies, cabbage rolls and some traditional Polish dancing. The Greek Festival also offered up some authentic food and music. Performers at the Greek Fest were sheltered under Festival’s band shell. The Caribbean Centre also shared some ethnic delights with their guests.

Were you able to make it to any of the Festivals this year? We would love to hear your stories!

Jobin Rock Farm Field Bash

The rain held off for Jobin Rock Farm’s Field Bash this past Saturday June 12, 2010. With over 1000 people in attendance, the annual Firefighter’s Benefit was a smash! Jammin’ out under Festival’s red and white band shell, Big Wiggle kept guests out of their seats and on their feet! Partygoers hung out under our giant 60 x 100 tent late into the night.  A great time was had by all with money raised for an excellent cause!  Be sure to check out the photos below.

Festival Rocks Red Bull Races!

Despite the weather this past weekend, the Red Bull Air Races were once again a huge hit and moneymaker for the City of Windsor and Festival Tent & Party Rentals was there! Spectators flocked by the thousands and many were able to enjoy themselves in style at the VIP area presented by Eatertainment. As in previous years, VIP guests wined and dined under our tents, while caterers cooked up a storm on our propane barbecues, using our chafing dishes to keep warm their delectable delights.

Also benefiting from the Red Bull crowds were many of the bars and lounges in the downtown area. We provided barriers for a large number of the bars, allowing them to extend their patios, as well as bar stools and stand up cocktail tables for guests to relax and take in the scene. Sin Nightclub’s patio party was in full effect with our nacho, slushie and snow cone machines all on hand to curb those nighttime cravings!

With Red Bull already locked in for a Windsor race in 2011, it sounds like it was a successful event for all of those involved!

Art in the Park 2010

Did you make it to Art in the Park this past weekend? Once again Festival was there providing Rotary 1918 and vendors alike with tents ranging in size from our small 10 x 10 tent up to our larger 60 x 70 tent. On its way to breaking attendence records on Saturday June 5th, Art in the Park, held at the beautiful Willistead Manor was a success. Guests were treated to beautiful artwork, handmade crafts and tasty treats, while children were able to enjoy the kid’s play area, presented by High Jinx, located under Festival’s 35 x 40 hexagon tent. See the photos attached for a peek and just some of what we provided at Art in the Park 2010.

Tornado No Match For Festival Tent!

This weekend’s tornado in Leamington was no match for our 60 x 130 tent setup at Mastronardi Winery for their Toast to Dionysus event! Our Festival Party Tent held strong as the high winds and powerful rains pummeled the town. Complete with standup cocktail tables, sit down banquet tables and chairs setup underneath the tent, guests stayed dry and out of harm’s way. Goes to show what 23 years of experience in installing our tents will do!

Windsor Executive Association Open House

On Thursday May 27th, 2010 Festival Tent & Party Rentals, located at 4595 County Road #46 in Maidstone, hosted a Windsor Executives Association (WEA) Open House. With an Asian inspired luncheon provided by Other Place Catering, just over 50 guests gathered under Festival’s white 35 x 40 hexagon tent to get a closer look at how the tent and party rental’s business, going strong since 1987, operates from day to day. Festival’s portable air cooling units worked to keep the attendee’s cool under the tent, while the Strawberry Daquiri and Pina Colada flavoured slushies whipped up in one of Festival’s slushie machines refreshed guests as they made their way through the shop on their guided tour.

While touring the business, guests were shown Festival’s newly renovated shop and kitchen facilities which house all of the tents, 100’s of both rectangular and round banquet tables, 1000’s of chairs available in four different styles, dishware, glassware, flatware as well as other items such as barbeques, chafing dishes and portable bars. Members of the WEA made their way to the office and show room which is where customer’s first come into contact with the Festival Team. Experienced event rental professionals are available to help clients with everything from choosing the right linen colour to the proper tent size for their party. Open House guests were able to listen in as the office staff worked with telephone customer’s to ensure a successful rental experience.

During the luncheon, guests were invited to share their experiences with Festival Tent & Party Rentals.

Also, please feel free to comment on any experiences you may have had with Festival. Have you rented from Festival before? If so, how did Festival’s rental items help in making your event successful?
